Como por ejemplo, el bolso que se enciende cuando detecta que no hay luz suficiente en el entorno. ¿Quién no se ha vuelto loc@ tratando de encontrar las llaves dentro del bolso? Cojonudo.

Fabrication: “In Fabrication, we investigate how information can be integrated into textile as an active part of the aesthetic pattern. By integrating information technology, we are developing dynamic patterns in the textile that change over time. Por ejemplo, hacer que la funda del móvil cambie de color o los motivos de su estampado cuando envíe o reciba datos (sms, llamadas, datos intercambiados por bluetooth…) así que el aspecto de la tela serviría para visualizar información sobre el tráfico de datos en el móvil.

Conectar, etiquetar y compartir datos en tiempo real a través sensores puestos en objetos, dispositivos, edificios y entornos. Y luego poder monitorizarlos desde cualquier lugar, mostrarlos donde quieras o usarlos para construir algo.

A medida que voy encontrado cosas, también voy encontrando nuevo vocabulario para eso que empecé llamando: “entornos sensibles”.

Así que esta lista irá creciendo poco a poco:

Esto no es exactamente un ejemplo de entorno sensible, pero me encanta la idea de “tecnología inflable” por lo que tiene de poder llevártela y plantarla donde quieras sin demasiados problemas: Openaircinema, desde una plantalla a un sistema de cine completo.

Así de fácil de llevar

A parte de poder montarte una pantalla para proyectar lo que quieras en cualquier tipo de eventos, una fiesta, un festival, un “nosechamosunaplay” a lo grande o cualquier de los ejemplos y ejemplos que nos dan, lo que más me ha gustado es lo de llevar el cine a sitios tan remotos de la tecnología como algunos lugares de África, como hacen con el Open Air Cimema Humanitarian Program.

Y por eso me encanta el contraste de estas fotos. Por un momento, tan cerca y tan lejos.

OpenAirCinema en África

FotoWall, Jumbli, Wifitti, servicios creados por Locamoda -”Connecting people & places”- (http://locamoda.com – USA) para que la gente envíe con sus móviles fotos y mensajes de texto que aparecerán expuestos en lugares públicos o en webs, en vez de en otros móviles como sería lo habitual.

¿Posibles aplicaciones? Sobre todo interacción gamberra en momentos y lugares de ocio en grupo (bares, fiestas, etc) así como campañas de marketing en vías públicas, aunque sus creadores proponen también éstas:

• Take a photo in your house, post it on Flickr, and use it as your background.
• Taking a road trip? Move your screen on the map to track your progress across the country. Txt notes back to your friends from the road.
• Got a band? Embed your screen on your MySpace page.
• Want people to txt in comments to your blog? Embed your screen in a blog post.
• Convince your favorite bars to adopt Wiffiti. Flirt out loud!

Después de terminar el enésimo proyecto en el que “oh! vaya aquí tampoco voy a poder hacer todas esas maravillosas cosas que tengo en la cabeza” y cansada de simplemente Internet, portada, listado, página final… decido poner las ganas en otro camino. No sé cuánto tardaré en llegar, ni siquiera sé si habrá un sitio para mí, pero por lo menos voy a intentarlo.

Sólo tengo unas cuantas palabras por las que empezar: inteligencia ambiental, entornos inteligentes.

Quiero encontrar lugares en los que se puedan diluir o incrustar trocitos de algo digital que les haga dejar de ser inertes y te escuchen, te vean, te sientan, te hablen y te sonrían.

Hacer que un entorno digital no quede reducido al dispositivo que tienes entre las manos.

No quiero más maquinitas que parezcan maquinitas. Las quiero disfrazadas de ropa, paredes, muñecos…

Y no más quedarse sólo con los dedos como una única forma de hablar con ellas.

¿Habrá algún sitio donde poder hacerlo? ¿Gente con quién hacerlo? ¿Me dejarán jugar con ellos?
